Bandung Bike Week 2011 - Beauty & The Bike
828 Slideshow
Bandung Bike Week is very popular and well know event that is impossible to miss. If you are anywhere near the city during this weekend, you will know or at least hear the noise these bikes are creating. BBW is filled with rumble and grumble of the thousands or so motorcycles that visit every year in October.
Motorcycles line the roads, offering glimpses of prized and very expensive rides that are custom and unique. This event was a big success, and benefited the motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Indonesia and even like ABBA from Singapore. I reckon there were more than 5,000 people who showed up for this event to witness a 1,000 bikes with 1,000 girls as pillion.
Some of the attractions of bike week in Bandung includes stunt ride by Poliwan (Police Woman), thousands of motorcycles, many of them custom built and extraordinary, vendor shows, bike competitions, and much more. There are many stores (mainly merchandise), and everyone has a great time. Even though the main attractions are held on main event, the motorcycles can be found all around the city during this weekend. The food stores and other essentials are located on almost every streets of Bandung, so the motorcycles go back and forth frequently. Bike week in Bandung is a time of motorcycles, crowds, and lots of women and bikers all having a good time.
Bandung is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia, the country largest city with a population of 7.4 million. Located almost 800 meters above sea level, Bandung has cooler temperatures than most Indonesia cities. The Dutch colonials has luxurious hotels, restaurants, cafes and European boutiques were opened of which the city was dubbed as Parijs van Java (Dutch: "The Paris of Java").

Saito San Sakana
Slides Click Here
OISHII DESU!
Located along the rows of renovated shophouses on Neil Road stands Sakana, Saito San latest additional to his fine Japanese Cursine Chains.
SCMC is honoured to be invited by FFMC for Saito's Sakana pre-opening celebration. The boys met up at Kallang KFC and 10+ bikes choppered their way in search to pamper their taste buds.
A true delicious authentic delicacy and nice touch of Japanese dining set with low lying tables and rattan-like cushion as thin as my lepera seat. What impressed me most was the decoration. It is so eye catching, where it reflects a true Japanese owned restaurant. Bottles of Japanese beverage/sakes racked on top of the sushi bar, a glass display of fresh ingredients, utensils and soy sauce waiting for the freshly prepared sashimi! My tummy will be rumbling if I sat at this sushi bar.
Drinks and beers were served promptly by his friendly staff. I was taken by surprise to see Singha Beer in a Japanese restaurant, who minds a nice cold "bia" especially from HYB!
Anyone said eating is no fun?
Our Secretary, "smart" in a healthy way...strictly!
Sakana is highly recommended for a nice business occasion or couple dining place, so please help spread the word for our kind friend Saito San. Good stuff, no way bluff.
