Hard Rock Cafe KL

16 July 10 - Singapore - Ipoh
17 July 10 - Ipoh - Cameroon - KL, Singapore - KL
18 July 10 - KL - Singapore

While the boys rode down from Ipoh via Cameron, the rest of me made my way up north to meet them at HRC KL. I really wanted to get up early so that I can spend some time jalan jalan around in KL, which I did at 5am by the thunder and rain pouring on my window pane. I quickly retired to bed and played by ear, literally to hear if there were thunders and rain. Had instant noodles sitting in front of tv and CNN reported monsoon typhon thing was hitting Hanoi real bad.

I think I am just unlucky, I had to admit defeat that the rain will not stop. Left at 10am and found to be moist under the rain coat, nonetheless definitely not as bad if I had forced myself to leave at 530am, the rain was so heavy and blinding that even Even McGregor will tell you to fly a kite.

The ride up was cooling but was so frustrated to be lost / misguided in KL which wasted 45mins going in circles. The Malaysians must have a big ego problem, farking hell don't know where HRC then just admit it, dun bloody tell me kiri kanna tiga traffik light. #$@#$@

Here's the good thing...Concorde Hotel was fantastic. After getting lost and found my way, I parked the bike outside main entrance and rushed to the concierge to check-in. Damn, I was afraid that our rooms were sold cos I had 3 missed calls from a Malaysia number. "Sir, you've booked 3 Premium rooms, we have a different check-in area, please follow me". I thought WTF bro, just give me my room and I needed a shower badly. Just like in Priority/Premium Banking where the rich are served in better looking slaughter rooms, they have a lounge for desperate last minute LPPL poor man like me. RM$360 a night + 15% gov tax, lan lan just pay.

Check out my Premium Room. I am impressed! (Sua gu lah). When was the last time you've experienced something for the first time? The super tired me deserves this place man :) King size bed, 42" LCD, working desk, walk in wardrobe and freaking hell the toilet is bigger than my room in Singapore!

I will let Vice tell you what the formal stuff we've discussed and for the informal, I did the usual thing after dinner, foot massage, dessert...shiok! And because I wanted to sleep in the next day, the rest of the boys headed back home pretty early while I make sure I had a DO NOT DISTURB voice ringing in their heads.

18 July 10

Woke up at 10 am and dragged myself to the ground floor for breakfast. "Sir, you are staying in the Premium Room and your breakfast is on Level 1". Hey I am a just normal dude, give me my Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis + Curry Ikan and I will be smiling. Breakfast was ordinary but that's also because I love street food

Took the Monorail, Sky Train, whatever they call it and spent RM$1.20 2 stops to Bukit Bintang. No jam lah, so good. I was tempted by the Durian An Nei who can speak Cantonese and eventually gave in and bought a D24 durian, ate it under the sun with a complementary Mangosteen...slurp. No sure if I got robbed for paying RM$12 a kilo but even without the camera slinged across my shoulders, I must say I do have a tourist face.

Last night I went to the usual yellow shirt massage parlour and the old man who did the massage for two of my previous visit was busy. Tried my luck this morning and he was staying at the front touting me to get in. I wasted no time and had another 30 mins of foot reflexology.

Check out late around 245pm and took my own pace to put those bags BACK on the bike. Got everything sorted out and I left Caltex (opposite HRC) at 4pm in search for Seremban highway, it couldn't have been easier thanks to Transformer clear direction, "Straight all the way!" :) There was rain and heavier rain after I got out of KL. Bumped into the Rahim, (softail with the Red Indian paintjob and Ape Hangers), and he was on his way back from some women on wheels event in Malacca.

Ate dinner at Kulai and food has always been good to me. Rear tyre has turned semi slick and it's time to experiment if 180 fits.

For all the fun I had these 2 days, this is where I ended up. Woooohoooo.
