Thanks Chief for the great view which prolly worth a couple of grand! What a night that was where we abandoned our lovely rides and caught the train instead to join in the F1 fever. The gang arrived at about 6pm and wasted no time with the makan. Race started at 8pm with Massa screaming down the race track, closely followed by many others. I hope nobody will think Harleys are loud anymore. There were around 40 people in the office running between the window view and live tv. The best moment was when they had the safety car out cos that was the only time the pack drove closely together at much slower speed for our camera to work! What can I say, good food and experience but most importantly great company.
Not forgetting our birthday babies of September. Happy birthday to BlackBullet, Cooper and Gambit. Don't forget all of you have 30% off from Harley Davidson!

Black Bullet Birthday Junket (BBBJ)
Three bros think alike, want to service bikes.
Scratching on their heads, why the brake was dead.
Finished three engines, longer than foreseen.
Slippery even when dry, time to scrub and cry.
Dinner at Hooters, food was so yummy.
BB today yet forty, all men could only envy.
Check out all the loose make-up, Changi regulars sure line up.
Cleavage was an eye tonic, he knew he won't be homesick!
Happy Birthday Brother BB

HD Engine Paparazzi
Spent the late afternoon today @ Tony shop and I managed to take a closer look inside one the beasts, similar to those we ride every Friday. This one should be a roadking and I think all harley engines are quite sama sama except the v-rods. You can see the crankcase, cams, timing chain, tensioner, rockers, push rods, valve springs, etc. Actually there are more to it, just that I don't know their terminology :) This is only a small part of engine and more to learn. Damn high!Enjoy!

Knuckle busting
Here's something to do when you have too much time on hand.
Steel wools, Mothers mag and aluminum polish, Gif, HD polish, rag and pail + 4 painstaking hours of scrubbing = much better than before wheel. But it's only nice from far and still far from nice. Those scallops on the edge is "designed" to collect dirt! Maybe it's time to machine them flat and give it a professional mirror finish polish.
Before
After
In between
Now I know one of the reasons why HD parts catalogue has a section heading that says "ALL ROADS LEAD TO CHROME" cos then if it ain't polished like the silly triple tree, you won't have to use so much strength and time to make them shine again!

HD 105th Anniversary Celebration!
The day got off to a poor start with the weather stuffing up the plans but that didn't stop us from showing our support! We were at Dempsey Road, probably the only club that was not wet. Hundreds of bikes showed up at the carpark to meet up with friends from other clubs. The boys registered for the goodie bag which had a HD T-shirt, vouchers & skin care products for men in it.
Off we went, from Dempsey to the Singapore Flyer where food, drinks and live band awaited us. The Coyotes got off with a quick start at the food and beer. Everyone was happily eating and drinking away and little did anyone care about the presentation at the Greek Theatre. Most of the people had to be prodded a few times before they were willing to take a pause at the filling of their bellies and proceed to the presentation. The Head Honcho of HD gave a speech and educated the audience regarding the history of HD SG. He then showed the company's appreciation of the supporting MCs with plaques, which our SC Chief went on stage to collect. Not a bad marketing move by the boss who knows how to keep us happy and thus make more people buy more harleys when existing owners tell wonderful stories about their bikes and the company :)
After that it was more eating and drinking as the food kept coming. The group ate a little more, had some group photo opportunities before some of the cubs had to leave. The remaining ones decided to see if any of us would get lucky at the lucky draw, but unfortunately none of the club members had a winning bracelet. In the midst of all the fun & food, SC Scribble did us proud by doing his part for charity through making a winning bid for an "auspicious" bracelet number 8.
The night ended with mini gathering part 2 at BlackBullet's place where everyone just sat around and chilled out before parting ways again. It was certainly a fun celebration and I cannot wait till the next time.
